1956: Reg
and his mate Lennie Shorey pose for the "bad boy" shot
in front of the hedgerow in the neighborhood in
Hornchurch. Clad in their leather Bomber jackets and
Tams, the lads are ready to go search for the magic Ton.
Reg is on the same Triumph Thunderbird seen elsewhere in
the scrapbook, only now he's made some changes. The Avon
fairing was for protection from the cold, wind, rain and
snow. And that front brake air scoop is also quite
intriguing... Lennie is on his Triumph Tiger 110 - a
very nice ride for a young man in the mid 50s. |
